Name: McDonald’s 5k Charity Mc Run

Where: Heritage Park, McDonald, Pa.

When: First Sunday in July. Part of the town’s McSunmerfest.

Course: Rail-trail, asphalt

Benefits: Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Awards: Overall; really big age groups (18 and up)

Overall: Cost was $30 on race day. They had a decent after race food selection. The race was fast, Mountain Kid 1 got a PR (way faster than I will ever be). The town is neat and we saw a lot of bicyclists. I’d go again to explore more.

Wilson Mill covered bridge now covers the rail-trail.

An age group medal.
Flowers along the trail.
A stone in one of the buildings lists the architect, builder, etc.

Here comes the runners.
