Skirt Sports, a clothing line for all active women, is celebrating its 13th birthday this week.

In honor of the birthday, let me share a video of the founder, Nicole DeBloom, and the first skirt that started the company.

I found out about Skirt Sports after seeing an ad for the sewing room, in which the public can submit designs for production. I thought it was cool that a company would let people who wear athletic gear and know what they want design something.

Then I signed up to become an ambassador. I have a tank top, two skirts, a pair of shorts and several visors from the company. They are all very comfortable and awesome.

My racecation skirt is paired with my most colorful leggings. It has a zipper pocket in the back. I wear it at the beach and pool over my swimsuit sometimes. I’m also wearing one of the visors, which has a built in sweatband.
