What is your favorite season of year? Why?

Fall and spring are my favorite seasons. It’s hard to pick a favorite.

I love fall because of the gorgeous leaf colors. The fact we’re heading into holiday season helps. It’s like a collective sigh: the end of activity associated with spring and summer is coming to an end. It’s a time to start slowing down.

Spring also is colorful, with everything blooming in yellows, purples, pinks, etc. You also get to plant things. Gardening is one of my favorite things to do. It is a time where the pace of life quickens. Time to get things done outside before it gets too hot.

The weather during both seasons is perfect — not too hot or too cold.

Fall is the last hoorah before everything shuts down for the winter. Spring heralds surviving winter — the first hoorah of the year.

While my allergies really hate spring, it is my favorite of the two. But it’s a very close competition.
