Life is busy and sometimes plans fall apart. I don’t spend much time at home now, so I concentrate on life when I can. Writing comes when I get a chance. I’m not sure how much I’ll get to write, so I’m just putting down everything I can before my kids get up.

MCM training: I have added two free apps to aid in marathon training, Mapmyrun trainer and Spitfire Athlete.

The first one has various training plans based on time for different races. You can program when you want to do your long run and how many runs you plan to do per week. So far, I’m still getting use to going by time and not distance, but I like it.

Spitfire is a training program that is oriented toward women. The programs include triathlon, HIIT (high-intensity interval training), weights and body sculpting (for figure competitions). I’m doing The Conquerer, a 12-minute HIIT program that compliments other exercise programs. The first week it told me to do handstand push-ups and I was hooked. I can’t do them. But I like the challenge and that you can modify the workout if you need to. It has a built in timer.

MCM fundraising: I had big plans to hook up with other Team RWB members here and start fundraising, but so far my luck on this front has been iffy. I have $100 raised toward my $500 goal. I am thinking of doing a giveaway soon, so look for details. If you’re interested in donating, visit Mountain Mama for Team RWB.

Well, the kids are up. Time to put down my keyboard and turn on mommy mode. I miss my kids more than they’ll ever know right now. I’ll talk to you again soon.
