START TIME AND DATE: 1:20 p.m., Nov. 30, 2012.
GPS MILAGE: 8.39 miles (didn’t include the quarter mile cool down to my house).
COURSE: Started with paved sidewalk until I reached the Decker’s Creek Trail access point; two-plus miles of trail were asphalt followed by small gravel; turned around near mile marker 13 on the Caperton Trail at a yellow gate.
WEATHER: Sunny, in the mid 50s, and slightly windy.
PODCASTS LISTENED TO: Ben Greenfield, Dave Ramsey and Musing Mommies.
COMMENTS: My Endomondo coach stopped giving me mile splits after the two mile point. So I didn’t know how far or how long I was out there until I stopped my GPS. The scenery was beautiful. I’ve never been that far on that end of the trail, so I was surprise by all the signs for falling rocks. I broke a 10K. Yippee!
Longest run ever … so far
