Mountain Kid 1 and I are embarking on a different kind of training this summer. This upcoming school year, she’ll be old enough to participate in school sports. So we’re getting ready for fall cross-country season. I’ve put the zombie apocalypse training to a different course, concentrating more on running.
Instead of detailing our training plan, it may be easier for me to show you through photos.
Our first run was finished with a trip to the playgroun. I got her a Milestone Pod, which shows she’s a more efficient runner than I am. That’s why she’s fast.
Both of us representing Team RWB out in the rural area near our home. We have a lot of runners in the area. And tractors.
We donate money through Charity Miles through the USO. Next month, we’ll choose a different charity.
We also went canoeing to work on our upper body strength a little. I’ve found that a good core and strong arms won’t fatigue as easily as a weak upper body.
We started with playing at the beach and watching Wonder Woman. We’ve agreed to both be Amazon warriors when we grow up. But we live with men/boys.
We always find new things, like this baby toad.
